III. Learner’s Activities
Our lesson for today focuses on how music, art, and stories bring our culture to life. To begin, open your Google Classroom using the code lsffyda3. Watch the video Obando Fertility Dance (Santa Clarang Pinung-Pino) and observe how the music and movements show the people’s faith and beliefs. After watching, go back to Google Classroom and answer the first discussion question posted there.
After completing your first task, click this link and describe what you see. Post your answers in our Google Classroom using the code 4mcg4mjg. Then, visit Wayground with the code 23364010 and play the activity prepared for you. It’s a fun and interactive way to review the words connected to Filipino legends and folklore.
Next, open your Google Classroom using the code kfa3znmc and prepare to watch the story Sinukuan: The Kapampangan Legend of Mount Arayat. After watching the video, answer the guide questions found in your classroom discussion forum. Be sure to share your ideas kindly and respectfully.
Once you’ve finished the discussion, it’s time to be creative. Using your art materials, draw your favorite scene from the story Sinukuan. Take a photo of your artwork and upload it to Google Drive under the folder titled “My Sinukuan Art.” You may also leave a short description of your drawing in your Google Classroom post.
To end this lesson, complete the reflection statement: “Before, I thought that ____________, but after learning about Sinukuan, I realized that ___________.” Post your reflection using this Google Form. Once done, visit the classroom wall again and comment positively on at least two of your classmates’ reflections to show support and appreciation.
